Therapy Hair Studio stylists are trained in the latest techniques and today we are highlighting Timothy Silmon, one of our top hairstylists, for his use of Hair Sewing to create stunning updo’s. He teased, curled, twisted and shaped the hair to get the height he wanted. Then, using the Kevin Murphy sewing kit, he started sewing and maneuvering away. This approach can create a softer look or even a cool, modern, sculpted look as Tim created on Heidi Cruz who was headed off for her husband’s (Senator Ted Cruz) watch party. Tim says: “The best part about using the thread is that you don’t have to worry about bobby pins falling out by the end of the night, and in Heidi’s case heading off to a watch party, she could feel secure and comfortable that it was going to look perfect still by the end of the night.” With her flawless airbrush makeup Heidi was guaranteed to look fabulous throughout the night.
Hair Salon Blog: Essential Hair Care Tips and Insights
Ahhhh, that perfect blow out. Our customers always comment that they can never quite achieve at home the finished salon look they get at Therapy Hair Studio. Is it because we have the best hairstylists in Houston? Do they have special magical powers? Or is it possible for them to teach you to do it yourself?
On Friday, October 26th Therapy held their Fall Blow Dry Boot Camp. All of the Therapy Hair Studio hairstylists had one lucky student in their chair who, with their own dryers, products and brushes, were shown step-by-step what to do to get that finished look.
It was a great time and you can see the photos to prove that all of their students got an “A” for their finished product – a perfect style which they can now repeat on their own. Therapy co-owner Luis Perez said, “This is our third Blow Dry Boot Camp benefiting a charity and we love the chance to donate our time and expertise for a good cause. It’s always a lot of fun because it kind of changes our normal role where we are doing the hair, to just giving direction. We are already planning three Blowdry Boot Camps in 2013, so stay tuned.”
All the proceeds from the fall Boot Camp were donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Let us know if you would like to be on the list for the next Blow Dry Boot Camp taking place in January 2013.
